Matt, the original creator of PaintingTheTown and co-organiser of the Artliftment Park Jam
( http://www.artliftment.co.za ), is focusing his attention on making a book about Cape Town graffiti. There is a section of the book that allows for submissions from any writer, not just a select few. The brief goes like this: " Every writer has one crazy graffiti story that sticks out in their mind. Graffiti puts you in some pretty amazing situations that no other activity does. I don't want these stories to fad away into distant memory. I want you to write them down or type them down and send them in to be published. To bring the story to life I want you to attach a relevant photograph with the story."
